Who are the major players in terms of news provider in the UK and what exactly do they own?

Broadcast
Commercial: Channel 4

  • It does not produce its own programmes but commissions them from more than 300 independent productions across the UK.

  • The BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation which has a revenue of £5.086 billion.
  • The products where BBC is broadcast is on the television, web and on the radio
  • Individuals can get up to date with current affairs through the BBC website which highlights it is one of the main provider of the news.
